Remember, based on hard drive size and the amount of cameras, calculated with the amount of motion being recorded from your cameras storage, times vary significantly. Staten Island Security Cameras can increase memory by adding another hard drive into your existing DVR, call for a quote.

TO SEARCH BACK FOR PREVIOUS FOOTAGE AND VIEW

From main screen right click go to playback. If password is required then enter your password, if you never set one up then there is no password (leave blank). Then click magnifying glass, file type is all.

Highlight desired channels to be viewed (you may choose as many as you want or “all”).

Enter start and end times (both military time).

Play mode – skip decode then press play. Watch video.

To exit, right click on screen and choose up window

TO MAKE A COPY TO A FLASH DRIVE

Right click on main screen then click record – backup.

Insert a flash drive into the front of the DVR then click detect

Select start and end time (both military) then click add.

Change format from h.264 to AVI (if possible) then click burn.

When complete remove from DVR and insert into PC or laptop to view.

You may have to install the player that automatically downloads to your flash drive into the computer you are trying to view on. This is done because computers vary greatly in their ability to decode compressed videos from DVR’s so the DVR’s have their own media players if needed.
